Cellulite Treatment

CELLULITE REDUCTION TREATMENTS

Here at Restore Med Clinic, we are proud to offer treatments to reduce cellulite dimples. We offer both a non-invasive option and a more invasive treatment to ensure patient satisfaction.

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is a depression of any shape or size with defined edges seen on the surface of the skin, typically on the buttocks or thighs. A major underlying cause of cellulite are the fibrous bands that tether your skin to the structures below. These bands are called septa. Some septa are good (and you want them as connective terhers), but others stiffen or shrink over time and lead to the dimples we see on the surface and call cellulite.
It is very important to distinguish cellulite from other concerns like laxity or localized fat, which we can talk you through during a complimentary consultation in our office. You should also know that cellulite is not your fault! Genetics and hormones play a big role in the amount of cellulite you may have, but you are not alone as up to 90% of women have this.

TREATMENT OPTIONS WE OFFER

Avéli:

Restore Med Clinic in Newport Beach is excited to be one of the first to offer Avéli for a meaningful reduction to cellulite dimples. This FDA approved treatment is a no-nonsense approach to treating cellulite dimples based on a deep understanding of women’s anatomy. While other treatments approach cellulite from the outside-in, Avéli identifies and releases the primary structural cause of cellulite from the inside-out in a single minimally invasive procedure!

How does Avéli work?

Avéli works for a range of women across the cellulite severity spectrum. The procedure is performed by our trained experts using a handheld device to manually target and release the complicated web of septa bands causing cellulite dimples.

Avéli addresses the primary cause of cellulite in 3 steps:

1. Your provider guides the Avéi device under the skin directly to thee targeted dimples
2. After your provider identifies the culprit septa bands causing a dimple, those septa are precisely released
3. Your provider can confirm their release in real-time delivering visibly smoother skin

Avéli is indicated for the temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks and thigh areas of adult females as supported by clinical data demonstrating benefits through three months of observation. The most common side effects reported were mild pain within the first 24 hours and bruising and tenderness to the thigh which typically resolved within 30 days. Most patients returned to normal activities within one day of the procedure. As with any medical procedure, there are risks associated with the procedure. Consult with your physician for full safety information.

COMMON QUESTIONS

If you are a woman in Southern California looking for visible reduction in cellulite dimples from a single in-office procedure, this could be for you! Schedule a complimentary consultation with us to determine if you are a candidate.
No! During a single procedure, the provider can fully treat the targeted cellulite dimples on both your buttocks and thighs.
Results should be visible once swelling and bruising subsides. By one-month post-procedure you should start to see the effects of the procedure.
It is recommended to avoid any strenuous activities or workout in the first few days/weeks after the procedure to allow the area to heal. We will provide further information of post-procedure expectations and recommendations in our office
As this treatment is more invasive than a typical cellulite injection, we numb the patient for the procedure using local anesthetic. We always want to ensure the patient is as comfortable as they can be during procedures.

What is QWO:

QWO is an injectable treatment that breaks down the bands under the skin that are responsible for the appearance of cellulite. This 10-minute treatment is performed in a series of three, spaced out 21 days apart.

Restore is proud to offer Shockwave to all QWO patients. Shockwave is a non-invasive therapy that uses acoustic waves to help breakdown cellulite bands, as well as aid in the recovery from QWO by reducing bruising and soreness.

COMMON QUESTIONS

If you are a woman in Southern California looking for visible reduction in cellulite dimples from a minimally invasive in-office injection, this could be for you! Schedule a complimentary consultation with us to determine if you are a candidate.
Treatment frequency will depend per patient. As some patients have more or less dimpling than others, our experts here at Restore Med Clinic will be able to assess and determine the best treatment plan for you.
During your appointment we will assess the cellulite dimpling and the problem areas then create a custom treatment plan for you. Our providers will be able to see the dimpling and mark your buttocks prior to the injection to maximize accuracy and efficiency. Most patients do bruise from this treatment, but it is very normal as we are injecting collagenases into the targeted area under the skin! Our experts will go over all post-care instructions in-office as well to further assist the patient!
